Design Statement
The world of Spoon River captures a poetic essence of the real world. These characters bring their stories to life on the hill where they now sleep eternally. None of the nine chairs onstage are the same; like the people, their lives and their headstones on the hill. The world provides an open space for each individual to share the stories of their past.
